A Landmark Address

The address clients remember

Most office space is interchangeable. The Waterloo Building isn't. Built in 1914 as the Leavitt & Johnson National Bank, this ten-story landmark on Commercial Street pairs original stonework and a century-old bank vault with the practical things a working office needs.

Covered parking, enclosed skywalks to the convention center and adjacent hotel, Cedar River views, and flexible suites from a single office to a full floor — at the center of downtown Waterloo.

Since 1914

Built as a bank, built to last

The Waterloo Building opened in 1914 as the Leavitt & Johnson National Bank — ten stories of stone and steel that announced downtown Waterloo had arrived. The original bank vault is still in the building, its century-old door a regular conversation piece for visiting clients.

We're now pursuing listing of the building on the National Register of Historic Places, working with the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office.
